Polyop are a great band (and Jack from Polyop is also excellent mastering / recording engineer amongst many other things)

Great to see a band not putting stuff on Spotify as well

Why a video and no live WebGL version? All the sequencing was controlled externally using MIDI. We originally designed Hedron for live shows, but have started development on a new version which will have internal timeline functionality so you'll be able to experience things like this on a web page.

Music video made using Hedron, the software I've been working on for the last 10 years with @polyop.bsky.social. All written in Javascript, it lets you compose and control #threejs scenes using inputs such as audio and MIDI. Still wild to me that all this is essentially just a fancy web page.

Really happy to get this out as an ‘official music video’ after years of playing variations of the track live 👽

We’re releasing “Elektrop” on #Bandcamp, and the video will premiere on #YouTube on Thursday at 8pm

It was also the first time we worked outside Hedron to sequence the scenes, sparking fresh inspiration for the next version of the #software — which you can check out on #GitHub if you’re interested in the development
