While the term "critical thinking" can be nebulous, it really is a great skill to have. Taking the time and effort to THINK about things goes a long way. But we are becoming accustomed to the instant gratification of just being spoon-fed info. Social media, influencers, and LLMs have made it worse.

This article is wild. Because things sound different for each person, I don't lean hard on measurements myself (especially since my ears don't agree with common targets), but it's one of the few objective metrics we have in audio & is very valuable. But it can't replace listening to it yourself.

While I certainly agree that things could be improved for tracking, it's better than it used to be. If you ordered a package in the mid 2000s, tracking numbers cost extra, so usually you just had to wait & pray that it actually showed up. If it got lost you had to wait 30 days to report it lost.
