Boundaries are as much for ourselves as they are for others. Speaking as a BPD T-2 w/ poor impulse control who's also in the polyam community, obsession & love can be difficult to differentiate. When I obsessed, I was willing to alter/sacrifice anything to have a chance for her love again.

I've been at that edge often, & with the number of visits with the same reasoning, I forced myself to believe the reason I haven't done so myself is there's many versions of myself within fighting against the urge, even when fueled by nihilism. A younger/older version of you may be fighting to live.
