I am a retired Federal worker who worked at FEMA and DoD. I can honestly say that everyone in my understaffed offices worked very hard and for less pay than our counterparts in the private sector. Yet we were happy and rarely complained. Shame on Trump & Musk for their callous destruction and terror

I get at least two or three rejections a week. I have become numb to them. I like it when they write a nice little note saying how my project is not right at this time. But a nice "NO!" is fine too.

I had a Russian from NYC staying at our inn. He took serious issue with the Ukrainian flag flying off the 2nd floor porch. He told me that Putin had to attack Ukraine because NATO was encroaching on his borders. I laughed and asked him, since when had NATO ever invaded anyone?

Dictators usually slip in during times of troubles and once they are on firm ground start breaking everything they see. I am afraid we are in the stage of the authoritarian breakage. And they will keep breaking until they get what they want--an earthly paradise for billionaires served by us peons.

Actually, we have an over abundance of oligarchs already. They cleaned out grungy old Manhattan in order to build new high rise condos so that the uber-wealthy have plenty places to live. But NYC is full up. I do believe Trump should send them all to Wyoming where they can build a new Manhattan.
