finally, a big part of why the economy is so shit is labour ruled out - explicitly in the name of a reactionary centrist approach of not upsetting the centre right - the reforms needed to fix it

yes, a poor economy has hurt labour, but that's not the only thing

they're at 17%, that's the worst of any major party of my lifetime - 11% approve, they've gotten single digits in by-elections

like, here's asylum claims for the uk & comparable countries during the period of the ukrainian war
