First week stumbling back into a sort of routine again, with a new book project on my desk for Puffin.
This year it feels like a slower, groaning start or is just me?

When a story is stuck, I'll do a quick character sketch of the main character, to get unstuck. And I'll think, how would I feel in that situation? It's a good way of connecting emotionally with my character. #kidlit

It's always exciting to receive an early advance copy of a book. Andersen press have done a wonderful job. Couldn't be happier with the production.
