I worked in HIV/AIDS in a very different time - HAART and rapid testing were new but still a lot of people were dying - our clients, colleagues, volunteers. I’m so thankful for the advances that have been made since but I continue to remember the precious lives lost. 🕯️ #EndStigma #EndAIDS

For months, I’ve been building trust with this semi-feral cat that appeared in my yard in hopes of finding it a safe home. I’ve since learned there are 6(!) ferals in the area. The cold rain has me worrying about them, so now I’m researching insulated cat houses b/c my heart can’t take it.

I was having a bad day but then like a beacon in the night a vegetarian taco joint I’ve never noticed before appeared. Three tacos and guac later and all is right…well, not in the world…but in my little time and space. Thanks Tacowala!
