It’s very sad but it’s a fact of life, she’s got to go sometime. Sorry your relationship with your mum isn’t all it could be. I get the younger daughter thing thrown at me occasionally, but I say ‘daughter no.1 is in Spain so you’re stuck with me!’

Thanks it’s getting really hard now, but she’s 106 next week and it can’t go on much longer! (Sorry if that sounds callous, but…)

No nothing broken, she had a nasty head injury though and her heart rate was jumping all over the place, that’s mainly why they kept her in. She’s not too bad now, but is declining mentally quite quickly. Hope your mum goes in ok at the dentist. Coincidentally I’m at the dentist today, yuk!

I sure do! We nearly didn’t go as mum had a very bad fall two weeks before and ended up in hospital for a week. Sister came over to look after her though, and had carers coming in twice a day to help out. She’s recovering well now, after we all thought she was a gonner!

Oh yes very tiny, too tiny for cuddles which maybe what they meant by unsuitable. Predictably ours was called ‘Robbie’ 😆

I feel your pain, sizings are ridiculous these days. Bought some black trousers from Cotton Traders in a 12, liked them so much went back for a navy pair, same size but they measure an inch bigger round the waist and the legs. I’m actually a size 14! 🤪

Just old age catching up with her, everything tires her out very quickly but she still loves to get out most days. She has a wheelie/walker thing that we take everywhere and that helps.

That looks a nice garden centre, only half an hour away from us. I’m always looking for somewhere different to take mum, though she’s not doing too well at the moment 😞
