Oh for goodness sake, Ian. Statistically, there will be 2 million trans people in USA, of which 1% might be detrans, say 20,000.

20,000 does not make USA full of anything.

Good grief. That slurping noise was your credibility going down the toilet.

You say you have read the studies, yet you seem unfamiliar with those underpinning the very low regret rates. You don't debate from a position of knowledge. I'm not pretending anything

It's no wonder you are provoking ansty responses. Decades of debate tells me you bring nothing to the table. Bye

Which regret rates? There have been multiple studies with results all in the same ball park.

Tbh, this is a complex topic on which there has been a huge amount of false information published. Somehow I feel that you don't even have trans 101, but feel your voice should be needed. I disagree.

Saw a Trump post boasting having his best ever polling numbers.

C'est la vie.

I think you are coming from a good place, however you also seem to come from a place of not knowing your subject.

Maybe be less assertive and more asking questions?

In the marketplace of ideas, there is a huge amount of bigotry and disinformation. We have become sensitive to it. And suspicious.

Absolutely

Perhaps you could focus on unconsented surgery on intersex children. It's a known problem

On trans, the regret rate is less than 1%. And you need to balance that against the risks of non-intervention. I can think of at least 3 suicides.

Perhaps come back when you are better informed?

We don't need 20 contemporaries to know the answer to that.

I know, right?

Stories were rife back then, in the UK

Yeah, that was very much the thing, then. Because women never wore trousers, eh? Not even on cold wintry days. Smh

Lawyer???

Barrett for me. Dalrymple I think I saw twice, and then it was Barrett all the way

Where in the bible does it say:

"Thou shalt harass thy victims"?
November 22, 2025 at 2:40 PM
I was asked intimate questions of that kind. That would have been 28 years ago at CX?

I keep asking people if I can see those things.

The bruises are going down now.

Those same commentators dismissed concern about the Cass Review for 4 years.

Whilst never actually acknowledging they were wrong.

Could folks actually listen to & support those of us waving red flags for once please.

I don't think your granddaughter is to blame, tbh. The counsellor has be adaptive to their clients (at least as far as they can). If one way isn't working, try something else

It sometimes happens that the relationship just doesn't work. No one's fault, but maybe someone else might be better fitted.
