There are currently 10,100 Palestinian political prisoners being held by Israel. Of these, 270 are children. A further 3,398 are administrative detainees - this means they are being held without charge or trial and can be held indefinitely by Israel. #FreePalestine

Violent settler attacks have also been increasing. In the first 6 months of 2023 alone, the UN recorded 591 settler-related incidents resulting in Palestinian casualties, property damage, or both. This represents a monthly average of 99 incidents for the first 6 months of 2023.

Violent attacks by illegal Israeli settlers occur regularly against Palestinians and their properties - these settlers are often protected by Israeli forces. Between 2010-2019, UN OCHA recorded at least 2,955 settler attacks with 22 Palestinians killed and at least 1,258 injured.

Amiram Ben-Uleil was later sentenced to 3 life sentences for the murder of baby Ali and his parents. He also received time for attempted murder and for arson. The Court said Ben-Uleil's "actions were meticulously planned, and stemmed from the radical ideology he held and racism."

The arson attack burned alive 18 month old Ali and left his father Saad, his mother Riham, and his 4 year old brother Ahmad in critical condition. Ali's parents died of their wounds days later. Ahmad, now an orphan, survived with burns covering over 60% of his body.

Under Israel's policy, some items were tightly controlled or severely limited – like fresh meat and medicines. In other cases, food or items "exceeding those necessary for humanitarian needs" were outright prohibited from entering #Gaza – such as coriander, paper, toys, and chocolate etc. (4/10)

Israel's policy calculated that they should allow 106 trucks a day into Gaza to supply Palestinians with their “daily humanitarian portion” of food, medicine and other products. But in practice, Israel only allowed 67 trucks to enter Gaza per day, falling short of its own cruel policy. (3/10)
