A political junkie living in troubled times
As a political content creator, I feel I have a responsibility to shine a light on threats to our way of life.

We are in the foothills of new administrations on both sides of the Atlantic. The UK has a ringside seat to see what the U.S. will export here if we allow it to.

British politics is broken. It is slowly importing the right wing populist cancer eating away at America.

It seems odd to need to form a resistance not against the government of the day stumbling from one unforced error to another, but to a limited company masquerading as a political party.

It seems to me that stupidity is all the rage. The British government feels there’s no need to address the threat of power kleptomaniac Musk, funding a single issue self obsessed Trump wannabe, because they’re too busy!!

Doing what? Looking for the next demographic to upset. I can’t get my breath.

I want the Labour government to build a better tomorrow for families in Britain, after the catastrophic wasteland left behind by the conservatives.

Until they stop letting a man with no policies dominate the political narrative they are not just destined to fail, but will hand the country to him.

So you win a landslide victory in July and by Christmas you are the most popular unpopular Prime Minister since the 1970s.

Why? Because you have completely lost the narrative through a series of stupid unforced errors.

You’re getting taken for a walk by a one policy idiot.

1/4 The conservative government set fire to £140 billion to ‘Take back control’ which never happened.

Liz Truss cost the taxpayers £30 billion and caused the pound to fall to $1.038. At least 28 contracts worth £4.1 billion went to those with known conservative connections.

It goes on and on.

It’s good to see @mrjamesob.bsky.social here. It’s time to converse in a sensible space rather than the dumpster fire that is X.

America has dropped the ball. Malign forces have picked it up and are running towards the fascist zone.

Anyone who thinks Nigel Farage is not a threat to UK democracy needs to seek medical help.

Someone ought right now to be issuing P45s to the entire Labour Party Comms team.

After 14 years of catastrophic societal collapse under conservative rule, the Labour front bench is frankly a joke.

It really is time for new thinking. At least here we can share ideas and not be funding a wannabe global autocrat, using his wealth to buy a presidency for a convicted criminal and adjudicated rapist.

Together the resistance can hopefully regroup and recognize this is a global threat.

We are ALL in for a very bumpy ride. So bumpy, some may will not make it home.

The world is changing and not for the better. On both sides of the Atlantic politics is broken and those who believe in social justice, equity and a fairer society have much work to do.
