So, the meeting between Mamdani and Trump, I thought it was gonna be a disaster, but it wasn’t Mamdani was very respectful and just wants to make New York City better, while Trump and we conservatives mostly disagree with his socialist solutions, we literally have common ground: We all want to see NYC great again Mamdani wants that too, but with a different approach, at the end of the day, he probably won’t implement all of his socialist policies because he is now under the oversight of the executive branch Ultimately, we should support Mamdani as long as he isn’t crossing lines that make us outraged or concerned This is the America I want, bipartisan agreement, working together toward a better future for our country Edit: I’m probably gonna be accused of being a RINO or something, but that’s the way I feel and hope Let’s just see what happens next. I thought it was dumb, just because it made no sense, until I read an article that mentioned they use a tent for formal events. A tent at the white house? haha, thats some redneck shit I would do. Surprised that was/is the official way to entertain. Are you making fun of my people. my culture is not your costume Maybe? Who are your people? Have you ever been to Louisiana? Lmao They don't even have a proper procedure for hosting a shindig. What's the secret service protocol for standing around a bonfire? Also are fireworks involved, because as long as nobody gets burned or set on fire it's fine. A proper US shindig needs a large stack of wood that's on fire so that the folks who get drunk have somewhere to not be cold. Also is this a BBQ event or are Hot dogs and Burgers acceptable fare? There are so many questions about the US's adoption of redneckery. Like who's responsible for getting Trump flannel from the local tractor supply. The most powerful country in the world and our presidential building doesn't have room to host formal events so they use a tent.... No fucks given. The fact the left is melting down over it is just a fringe benefit.

Santos is a piece of shit - should rot in prison. Too many of Trump's pardons are fucked up. At the end of the day he's just a swamp creature of a different flavor. I hope one of these days we won't have to settle for the lesser evil to lead our country. Nope. This one is bad. He should be in Prison. For 7 years? How about he does his time? This is starting to seem like a cycle. Repeat of bs moves. Trump disappoints on lots, we excuse for…what? Not what I voted for again, and have had it. Sorry to hear you have "had it", I don't regret my vote. Do you support this pardon? It’s technically a commutation.

My question with this is the logic, if the prison is really that bad, why is anyone else still serving time there? I wish I knew the real story as to why this guy is catching a break, doesn't seem worth the political ramifications to me. I'm sure it will come out eventually. He was over-sentenced given this is NY. They don't give 7 years out lightly. This was likely a response from Trump seeing that the NY making an example of him. And while I'm all for seeing more stringent punishments being handed out, you should maybe start with violent offenders, not political opposition. EDIT: Remember folks...commutation is not a pardon. Santos is still guilty and will forever bear that on his record. EDIT 2: Downvote me all you want brigadiers, you know I'm right. Yea I don't know about this one chief. I don't think this guy was THAT important lol. This guy is not on our side. Also important to know the sentence was commuted - he was not pardoned. Ugh. at least it wasn’t a full pardon.

Workplace displacement: The Pentagon moved many news organizations, including NPR, The New York Times, and CNN, out of their dedicated office spaces within the building. Press associations fear this will further isolate reporters from their sources. Credential revocation: The policy outlines that reporters who violate the rules, including soliciting unapproved information, can have their credentials revoked. This effectively gives the Pentagon broad power to remove journalists it deems a "security or safety risk". "Department of War" rebranding: The Trump administration renamed the DoD the "Department of War" and used this new acronym in the policy memo, a move criticized as a form of political messaging.

Blame the insurance companies. The cost of insurance has continued to skyrocket with nearly zero benefit to us. Meanwhile they’re seeing record profits. It really isn’t Obamacare, it’s about us getting rid of the current cancer. We either need to go all in on public healthcare (with all of its negatives) or go full private (knowing we doom the poor to a preventable fate). One will have to happen since our current system is absolutely fucked. Agreed. The problem is right in front of us. The cost of healthcare itself is the problem Part of that is the half assed way we run our healthcare system. The insurance companies don’t truly have to compete with each other. They have territories locked down. There are so many regulations against them, but also so many regulations that help them. We either need to go a free market or nanny yet or a hybrid of the both with clear goals set out from the beginning that everybody should get out on board on. There can be for profit healthcare, but it doesn’t need to be a trillion industry.

A Portland Antifa blog has announced that at 9 p.m. on Oct. 11, they plan to organize a laser attack to try to crash a federal aircraft flying over the ICE facility. Antifa plan to gather at multiple locations across the city and deploy lasers in an attempt to ground all "spy planes." This will also serve as a distraction so other militants can take more "daring actions" elsewhere in the city. The Department of Homeland Security announced on Sept. 30 the arrest of four criminal illegal aliens for conducting laser strikes on airborne helicopters in an attempt to blind aircraft personnel. Lasers have also been used to cause injury to federal officers, both during the current ICE occupation and during the BLM-Antifa rioting of 2020.
