Of course, lenders hated the fixed rate so Congress created Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to buy and guarantee these mortgages to encourage lending

The U.S. is one of the only countries in the world to have a 30-year fixed mortgage loan, with France and Denmark the others

So 50 years USA?!
