We will continue working on making outsource studios not only a good and encouraging start in the video game development industry, but also ensuring stable employment for years for hard-working QAs, artists, programmers and localizers.

Outsourcing companies remain a difficult entry point for many people starting out in the industry. Civil contracts without proper employment in sight, alienation from co-workers working on other projects, dependence on the Client, whose financial decisions can affect our employment status.

Umowy cywilnoprawne bez wizji prawidłowego zatrudnienia, alienacja od współpracowników działających na innych projektach, uzależnienie od Klienta, którego niezależne decyzje finansowe mogą wpłynąć na nasz stan zatrudnienia.

Firmy outsourcingowe pozostają ciężkim punktem wejścia dla wielu zaczynających pracę w branży.

Outside these companies, we offer legal help to people who must pursue their cases against their employees in civil and labor courts. We advise in the cases of overdue payments, and as a grassroots networking organization, we help in looking for jobs.

As PGWU we give the employees new tools to handle the tensions that may appear between the employer and the employee. In companies where we are officially present, we represent the workers and make sure the labor law is upheld.

The gamedev industry is in a tough place, and every day we can feel how the decisions of the investors and the management adversely impact the employees’ livelihood. Trade unions can shift the balance of power within companies and strengthen the workers’ side.

To quote them: “We hope that with every company that joins us, the union will be more and more normalized, and we will be able to focus on our passion – making games.”

At the moment, we have more than 300 members, and are officially present in eight Polish companies – the last being Ten Square Games, whose workers joined us earlier this year.

Reprezentujemy załogi oficjalnie objętych firm, dbamy o przestrzeganie prawa pracy, wspomagamy prawnie osoby dochodzące swoich praw przed sądami cywilnymi, czy pracy, doradzamy w procesie odzyskiwania należnych wynagrodzeń i jako oddolna sieć networkingowa pomagamy w poszukiwaniach pracy.

Jako ZPBG dajemy pracownikom narzędzia do radzenia sobie z trudnymi sytuacjami które czasem pojawiają się na linii pracownik-pracodawca.

Branża gier przechodzi przez ciężki okres, każdego dnia widać wyraźniej, jak decyzje inwestorów i zarządów odbijają się na życiu pracowników. Związki zawodowe pozwalają choć trochę zbalansować rozkład sił w firmach i wzmocnić stronę pracowniczą.

Oddając głos pracownikom TSG: “Mamy nadzieję, że z każdą kolejną firmą która do nas dołączy, związek będzie coraz mniejszym tematem tabu w branży i zacznie być czymś powszechnym, abyśmy mogli skupić się na tym co jest nasza pasją – tworzeniu gier”.
