10 years wasn't enough to dissuade the cult. 1/2 the country says "let's not see" the other says "let's na-zi." Send me venmo and I'll teach you grade school civics (and science). 1st lesson is free: nazis & rapists bad and I need you to be ok with that.
Relocate. Early Google.

Miami might be a dark horse here since nobody (that I saw) has mentioned it. My understanding is they are running against time re: pumps vs saltwater intrusion. We talk about rising sea levels but in the case of Florida the way that manifests itself is by percolation from below and it's happening.

What does it even mean for something to be legal anymore, if the entire Executive is immune? What does it mean to be Constitutional?

People aren't following illegal orders if laws don't matter anymore. Refusing to follow what they perceive to be illegal is moot, AND there will be no legal recourse.

They *will* grant immunity to all agents of this administrations policies. We are already seeing it en masse.

Some have countered that it would be illegal & absurd to grant such immunity.

But they are *already* acting with impunity and the SCOTUS decision only reinforces and enables such behavior.

So what happens now that SCOTUS officially and Constitutionally granted immunity to POTUS?

It rendered the Constitution a contradiction of itself.
It really is broken.

Immunity 4 POTUS, and by extension, the Executive Branch, makes it impossible and indistinguishable that which is legal or not.

The government choosing to pay its bills isn't socialism. A single-payer medicare style healthcare system wouldn't be socialism either.

A government takeover of industry. All of them, not just one or two essentials. Dem Socialism is light years away from that but begging to lose b/c of that word.

Many millions of soldiers actually. The Soviet Union alone lost between an estimated 8 and 14 million soldiers. Not trying to be pedantic, your point stands, but it just really is staggering how much was given to defeat that madness. Another 20+ million civilians. 5+ million German soldiers FWIW.

we need about 7 or 8 constitutional amendments at this point, and yes we should aim that high and begin immediately.

...have no vision. Play-it-safe consultants get hired b/c Dem voters haven't demanded otherwise. Sanders came really GD close in 2016.

There are still swaths of centrist Dem voters that *actually* believe the party has gone too far left.

It has painfully obviously gone too far right in reality.

I think a lot of posts in here are giving them too much credit for having a plan or strategy in the first place. The centrist tendency is largely a sincere posture that fears what it perceives as too woke a/or not being viable to win nationally. They're cowards, they're wrong, and notably they...

Some really sharp observations posted in here, and I largely agree with the perspectives... but one crucial point that is missing regarding these centrist tendencies within Dem leadership over time:

many if not most of those folks are true believers, whether paid for consultants, voters or pols...
