Now with turnout and informal percentages.
Hella-poor informal vote rate, considering only 8 candidates.

Good to see.
Have read articles that mention Iran closing the Straits of Hormuz but no handy map to go with it.
So, naturally, people are looking it up.

State seat of Lyons is now in, with more candidates to come. Interesting to see Nationals make their move, scooping up independents to join them.

There will be so many more candidates to add, and more details on as many as we can find.

Franklin is also done - for now - but not all candidates announced. Federal candidate Peter George picked up 20% at the May election, and is running now for the state.

Braddon is here www.polipedia.com.au/electorate/B...

OK Tassie, I have the first two electorates done with candidates so far for the July 19 election.
(Nominations haven't closed yet, so plenty more to come.)

Good morning and happy Saturday.
This headline makes us want to scream.
Sparking?
Nope.
How about "confirming"?
And do NOT try the 'supply and demand' argument or even the Labor govt's new red herring, 'red tape'.
It's tax policy.

The Libs and Nats have the chance to do the funniest thing ever in 'listening to voters' and rebuilding the party.

They could get their primary vote to the 45% mark in 2028 by adding PHON & Greens into the broad church.

Federally, Greens first preference isn't really growing that much. Local govt results very different, and would vary greatly.

The other electorates vary enormously.
Canberra in ACT has 102,980 voters, while Longman in Qld has 142,810.
Longman has almost twice the number of electors as Clark.
It's not really aligning with 'one vote one value'.

It's time for more federal electorates, not fewer.

🧵
There are 18,098,797 voters on the electoral roll in Australia.
There are 150 federal electorates.
The 7 smallest federal electorates in Australia are in NT and Tas.
The average number of enrolled voters for these 7 electorates is 81k.

Overall postal votes across Australia are pretty evenly split, but they won't help Zoe Daniel in this case, they are swinging heavily to Wilson.
23k postal returned so far, and about 20k counted. So 3-4k postal votes left to count. #Auspol

All eyes on the final few votes trickling in to Goldstein - a few remaining postals to come. #Auspol
Daniel's first preference vote dropped by 0.55%, Wilson's rose 4.19%.
