Yes but that also means that transit is once again at the whim of provincial governments - it’s highly unlikely transit funding will be as high. We shall see how much of the public transit fund is lost.

Meanwhile development charge revenue isn’t put back into these exploding neighborhoods, particularly, say, the park fund.

For context, the transit fund itself was supposed to be 30 billion, while the ccbf (gas tax) was already announced at 27b, and is most of the new fund.

They are transferring funds out of the Canada public transit fund - what duplication? It’s entirely unclear if any of the “51 billion” bcsf is new money.
