117w for a 4k30. If you push it down to 1080p (720p upscaled) and wait for the next more efficient node, I think we might be almost there in terms of necessary power

Does sounds like sci-fi to me. I don’t believe in the modern chaos of work any company is capable of manipulating the market in that way. Not even the big giants

I'm not sure what they consider "global" (perhaps the US, UK, or AUS?). In my country (NL), we didn't even have a chance to buy it from Xbox.com.

I wouldn’t be surprise if it is for keep piracy at bay, given the strict rules on copyright you have there. Definitely it’s not a technology issue 😅
