I think people--white people specifically (I'm white, I'm allowed to speak for "us")--tend to forget how recent all of this was. And the notion that racism and all the isms are things of the past and we don't need govt. protections/power-checks is ludicrous. Of course we do. Look around!

Well he's right about the second part.

I know it could be a frequency illusion or a sample size bias but does it not seem like just about every damn pedophile exists in a tight orbit with the GOP?

I forgot about this video. Somehow the puppets come off way creepier now.

I am on the fence about age/ term limits because you look at people like Bernie seeming to never have lost the plot, but yeah I think these guys got to stop treating our elected offices as retirement homes. That said ITS THE VOTERS that keep putting them back. We need to care more about primaries.

It’s more like tax given the tardifs are paid by us and haven’t brought in enough federal income to cover even a third of this ”refund”. Means more national debt which means each of us pays even more. And will probably be inflationary

I called my two senators this morning. I made it known--even though they didn't vote "yes" last night--that I oppose this wholeheartedly and expect them to do the same AND oust Schumer.

I'll believe it when I see it happen and the files come out with meaningful information.

Agreed. We need to separate the party leadership from what just happened on Nov 4th and what's been happening all around the country that lead to such massive wins. Focus on the candidates. Lets take both house and senate back with fresh faces!
November 10, 2025 at 8:00 PM
All the more reason thar--despite the current Senate being a bunch of milquetoast cowards-- we need to push for new leadership AND a Dem majority in the Senate next year.

Here's the list of all 33 seats up for election in 2026. Despite THIS Senate's blind indifference to the people, we should be working to elect good candidates and shoot for a 60 seat majority. This off-year election shows its possible.

Made a list. Shoot for 60 and hold everyone accountable:

33 seats up for election this year, D or R each incumbent needs to be responsible to the people. If they're not, they need to go. And long shot or not, Dems should shoot for 60 and ask for the moon!
November 10, 2025 at 7:45 PM
These 8 are probably scapegoats hand-selected because they are either retiring are not up for re-relection until 2028/30. That does not mean we should give up on the Senate. If the past week of wins didn't teach these Senators a lesson, lets elect some who already get it. 33 seats up for election!!
