The bar doesn't thrive with the single free drink you get with the customer's first time purchase. That gets people in but it doesn't make them stay as a long time customer. You gotta do more to keep them invested to come back after the introduction.

A pack in title by itself is the gateway bonus for what the console has to offer not the system seller alongside that launch so no matter how good Nintendo Land was, it doesn't salvage the console's 3rd party lineup since that's what did it in alongside multiple different factors.

If the Switch 2 only had Mario Kart World as its main seller for that month and nothing else that was expected to come out like DK Bonanza wasn't gonna be out till like Summer 2026, then the focus would diminish since you'd only get like Wii Sports and it'd plateau till the game came out.

Still was enough to start while having Wii Sports to back it up for everyone else in the family. A better marketing campaign to boot

Nintendo Land is still a great celebratory attraction that I remember fondly but it can't hold up the launch window of the console

There was good reason why that launch did not hit except that specific audience that was already gonna get the system because of Nintendo. Nintendo Land & New Super Bros U cannot the big selling points and why would you get the 8GB model when the 32GB one was there for $50 more

Yea you have to work for that especially since again, you're dealing with the long af guard gauge before those can be seriously fired off so the start of fight itself is just setting up before pushing for damage which takes so long to do.

There it is! Was waiting for this major issue to crop up at some point. It is not built with normal attacks in mind like you only make serious progress till you get meter.

That's good at least to see more people trying them out. Game themselves aren't too spectacular but the hook is there. I'll keep watching to see where you end up after finishing rebirth 1.

If you can stick by through this one, then you'll likely enjoy the rest. Good timing too with the 15th anniversary to try it out.
