My kid’s school has a weird culture that came about from the car line backing up the nearby roads too much - people drive and park along the streets in the closest neighborhood and then the parents meet the kids at the walker release point and everyone walks a few blocks to their parked cars

At least in my state, if you have IEP with incorporated technology the school has to provide it and it is a dedicated device - my kid can’t take her personal phone or iPad to school but she has an AAC iPad in a standardized case from the district - we sign paper work to keep it over school breaks
