…I “got” why this was the future. It was oh so easy to get a ride. Same price as an Uber. The best bit was that we were alone in a car. No driver listening in. We could choose the music! And the cars were clean, modern and quiet.

Seeing an empty drivers seat was very wierd. I imagine…

…car had pulled up. We fumbled with how to unlock it, and then we drove off. It was a thrilling experience. And a little nerve wracking.

Over the next 5 days we took eight trips, travelled 86km and spent 172 mins in a Waymo. (The app helpfully gave me those stats).

After the initial excitement…
