What does "making a change" mean? Shooting underhand? Closing his eyes?

They haven’t made it this far in forever, they beat a hated rival, they pulled off one of the biggest playoff upsets in recent memory over a team that everybody said they didn’t deserve to be on the same floor with. You don’t necessarily have to win a championship to feel like celebrating.

All season long I kept saying we won’t really know how good the Knicks are until Mitch comes back. This is why. His defense adds a dimension that nobody else on the team can provide.

Not to mention his offensive rebounding.

Why would he be unavailable? He hasn’t pitched since Saturday. That’s three days rest. If there’s some reason he couldn’t pitch, I’d assume we’d know that by now.

It truly is a silly award.

It’s kind of like how Dean Smith was the only man who could hold Michael Jordan under 20 pts a game. The Mets are the only team that could turn Juan Soto into an ordinary hitter.

Exactly. We can debate Thibs’ general view of load management or whatever, but there’s no good case to be made for this kind of unnecessary overuse of a player. And this isn’t the only example of it.
