🐶 My boy Dewey(14) has his 6 year adoptaversary tomorrow. No teeth left & about 98% deaf, but he is just the sweetest #dachshund you can imagine. Please keep senior #dogs in mind for your next adoption. They are amazing.💙

My boy Dewey(14) has his 6 year adoptaversary (gotcha day) this weekend so here's a #throwbackthursday shot from 2019 when he first moved in with us. Took him about 3 seconds to find the fireplace. 🤣

1. Rocky was brave today for his suture removal
2. I think he likes cuddling with the vet tech
3. Tired and snuggled with Dewey on the way home
4. A few more days of a bandage to prevent infection. Has to wear a baggie on it when he goes to the "office"

Rocky was brave for his third bandage change after lipoma removal. Sporting a royal purple this time. Appropriate as he thinks he's royalty. 🤣 Sutures come out on Tuesday & he's all snuggled in with Dewey for the rest of the day.

I need to post a timeline cleanse so here's my brave boy Rocky(10) getting his bandage changed again after a lipoma removal last week. Healing fairly well, but a possible incision infection now has him on antibiotics for 10 days. Next bandage change on Friday. 🐶🩹

Rocky(10) had to have a bandage change at the vet today as he recovers from the lipoma removal on his leg. He got a cool blue one this time. Dewey(14) has been a super supportive brother and snuggles with Rocky 24/7.

Rocky(10) had his dental yesterday & Dewey(14) has been snuggled next to him ever since he got back from the vet.

We adopted Rocky about a year ago & you never know how two are gonna get along, but these two are peas in a pod. 💙

Rocky's dental cleaning went well today. No extractions!!! 🎉

He also had a lipoma removed from his leg & the bandage is huge. He's a little groggy & will be on some pain meds for a few days, but he's back home & doing well.

My boy Rocky(10) could use some good wishes for his dental tomorrow as he's a bit nervous. 🦷🐶💙

Okay, maybe I'm the one that's nervous. I have complete confidence in my vet and Rocky's blood work was great, but I'm always edgy while he's under anesthesia.
