I need more Podcasts to add into rotation (I have an hour long commute, so I slam through them easy, but also need to switch it up when I go to deep)

Plug your podcasts & APs! If you don't have your own, plug your friends!

Or just give me your favorite lesser knowns!

A scene from D&D today. The two closest chambers consist of components I printed and painted I’ve been printing and painting dungeon tiles non-stop since Christmas.

Just finished printing and painting up these measuring tools and counters for Midgard Heroic Battles. Files for the 3d prints were created by @mogsymakes.bsky.social Printed well and I think they will add to the game. I bought the files at Wargame Vault. Highly recommended.

Setting up for D&D this afternoon and as I started I realized this is a good representation of how I combine terrain pieces: There is a 3d print sitting atop a set of foam risers connected to some old style Dwarven Forge. The only thing missing is some Hirst Arts pieces. #D&D #Terrain

Painting with Parkinson’s Part 2 - here are some miniatures I recently completed. I’m gaining confidence, but still quite slow.

Painting with Parkinson’s Disease - I have not painted in quite a while due to my hand tremors. However, a friend gave me a 3d Dwarven hold entrance for our D&D campaign and I enjoyed painting it. I then painted simple gargoyles and a couple of Blink Dogs. I’m slow, but enjoying the process.

I was watching the JUGGZ podcast and they were talking about how little Games Workshop pays their painters. This is a company raking in really nice profits too. I don’t mean lower pay either, I mean shockingly low pay. I’m not sure I can buy their products after hearing this.

Wargames Illustrated has opened its annual awards poll & I’m delighted that Midgard Heroic Battles has been included for best new rules. We are up against a number of heavyweights, but if you’ve enjoyed Midgard this year, please stick in a vote for it! www.surveymonkey.com/r/wi-awards-...

Picked up Midgard Heroic Battles and started wading through the rules. Looks like a fun miniatures game. Handles pretty much every era up to gunpowder. Has fantasy rules too. I’ll give more formal feedback after I get a couple of games in.

Today’s family gaming day. Playing D&D with all my boys and my wife. Unfortunately, my daughter cannot make it, but we have my eldest son’s girlfriend stepping in. Looking forward to it! Reminds me of the old days.

I started two D&D 2024 campaigns on alternating Sundays. One group of mostly veteran players and another of younger couples. Same campaign setup for both groups. We’re one session in and it’s remarkable how different the campaigns already are! #D&D2024 #ttrpg

I weighed in at 198.6 this morning. First time under 200 lbs. since 1984. No drugs - just calories in and calories out with exercise. Keeping track on an app.
