I already have the fig, blackcurrant and gooseberry, and there's pears, cherries and plums at my family's place I could try grafting from. For the apples and greengages though there's not much other option than buying them

I live in the UK. I've only somewhat recently moved into my house, so the garden still needs a bit of work, but at some point I want to have apples, pears, cherries, plums, greengages and figs, as well as some blackcurrant and gooseberry bushes

I've wanted to do this with a few, but most fruit trees (that grow well in this country, anyway) don't grow true to seed. Do feral persimmons still produce good fruit?
