To this day, I still go by "Poffy". Lucas might be my sona, but I've been known as "Poffy" for so long that I honestly feel strange being called anything else. Its just such a damn good name.
Today, Poffy and Lucas are both very important characters to me. A name, separate from an identity.

In 2016, I discovered martens. And it clicked IMMEDIATELY. And in 2017, I finally made Lucas. I'd had a full 6-year gap between knowing I was a furry and having an actual sona. He's changed a bit over the years, but he's always felt like... Me.

Despite this, Poffy had never felt to me like a fursona - An actual representation of myself. None of my Popori did. I loved them all dearly, but none of them felt like me. They were always their own characters. In truth, I hadn't yet even discovered what *animal* it'd be.

Over the next few years, I made many more Popori characters, but everyone always knew me as Poffy. I changed my username on basically every website to some form of "Poffy". It was the way I wanted everyone to refer to me from then on. And its given me so, so much joy.

The world was vast and fantastical, the music was soothing and pleasant, the gameplay was *really* addictive, and the servers were lively! I honestly probably spent more time just soaking in the world than actually going on quests.
