A Vowel's Music Noa Micaela Fields Voyage into the secret lives of vowels, the subtle and sensual building blocks of poetry's music. Guided by mouthfeel and playful ear-sense, we will attune to the power of vowels as vessels for sonic improvisation and rhetorical structure. Noa Micaela Fields is an echodeviant* (trans poet with hearing aids) in search of the hypervivid in her one and only captionless life. Her debut poetry collection E, a trans remix of Louis Zukofsky's "A", is forthcoming from Nightboat Books. She is currently based in Chicago.

Disabling the Poem: Access As Revision Remote 6-Week Workshop August 28-October 2 6-8PM Eastern Time Rob Macaisa Colgate This is a workshop on revising poetry. Together, we will resist the resentful urge to "fix" our poems or "make them work." Instead, we will learn to serve as care attendants to our poems, to listen to what they are asking of us, to meet those needs so that they might best say what they need to say. Rob Macaisa Colgate (he/she/they) is the author of the poetry collection Hardly Creatures (Tin House, 2025) and the verse drama My Love is Water (Ugly Duckling Presse, 2025). A 2025 NEA and 2024 Ruth Lilly Fellow, he is the managing poetry editor at Foglifter and lives in Chicago.
