sharon. ok, emphatically yes, insight is a foundational aspect to human perception and understanding. but we don’t get to transcend the muddy messiness of our phenomenology, and it seems to me that sometimes Lonergan, or probably, his students, hope to secure a pure rational knowing? and we can’t?

i’m at home with my parents helping my dad recuperate after he was in a bad accident. he’s going to be ok, and i am having the best time.

yes! here Gadamer talks about play in the work of art, but i wonder if you find it helpful?
