Paul -- wonderful use of the theme regarding "forbidden fruit" to describe "desire"❣️

Rachel -- what a twist on the theme "desire" using parasites and how they live off of others❣️

Julian -- such a beautifully melancholy poem capturing the emotions between two people in the form of describing the room during different time periods of the day❣️

Debbie, wish it was only chemicals! Love the poem using the body chemistry as the driving force❣️

John -- there is such a sense of loss in this poem. It really stings!

"I feel the face of desire wizen,
a snarl I savor, broth of bone
on canines and missing molars"

Gary -- this poem resonates with such a deep ache!

"There I am, shamed-hidden, fear-riddled
Not fully drawn pinch-skin tight"

I love the pace of that first stanza. Also like the poem afloat on that background.

This is great Erich. It’s that piano lid slam of the last two lines that give these words enormous resonance!

This is such a powerful and somber meditation on death☠️☠️☠️ Your images haunt me and the eerie athmosphere continues to hang like a fog in my head. Really an outstanding poem! Bravo 👏👏👏

I wouldn't mind some of my family--and wine--but this doesn't sound like a crowd I'd want to have suddenly pop in! Watching a horror movie sounds much more relaxing! (I'll be in my pjs. 😉)

soul undecidedtly nesting within
skeletal branches carrying solitary phantom seedlings?"

left like coffee table stains"

Debra -- quite a dark poem. Very appropriate to this week's prompt❣️
"Remnants of yesteryear
rise inside me,
they haunt."
