I'm presenting a paper on Saturday at the Singapore Literature Conference, 2pm Singapore time, via recording, on 'Unmaking the Lyric: Hamid Roslan and the new poetics of Singapore.' Thanks, Anna Reckin, who encouraged me at the University of East Anglia to write the initial essay. #poetry #singlit

Oh hey, I wrote this! It was such a pleasure to write for Scarleteen and to get to share an article which I'm really proud of!
Imogen McHugh's debut article with Scarleteen is nothing short of a masterpiece! This piece deconstructs normative ideas of sex and sexuality and offers new possibilities for how to claim parts of the disabled experience as erotic and sexual.

Writing is fine. It's literally the most embarrassing thing on earth to put yourself on full display for rejection or validation, but it's fine. I enjoy it. I find it therapeutic to set myself on fire.

AI art is always ugly. The image itself may be conventionally beautiful, but the message behind it, its very creation and exsistence, is profoundly ugly. It can't escape that ugliness.
