More than any other studio, I think, Ubisoft is really, *really* good at taking something fans love, then tearing it to bits. I don't know how their management is so tone deaf to gamers (i.e. past NFT hawking, combative attitude toward gamers, and WTF management decisions).

Honestly, Ubisoft burned me with "Assassin's Creed: Valhalla". (It was the first AC game I played.) I loved the main game, and the Wrath of the Druids DLC was fine. But the constant micro transactions (special gear, special skins) and wonky seasonal updates caused me to swear off Ubisoft.
