The Other Ticking Bomb... They feed him hate— until, sadly, when they finally open their eyes 👀, he has already turned into a ticking bomb 💣, waiting to destroy. They feed conservative ideals: a gun for breakfast. At lunch, they serve him fear of the Other and a shotgun to play with, mocking boards. At dinner they sit and pray 🙏 to a god, while cleaning their AK-47— ready once more for that time when it will be used against the Other. The Other: a Latino person working in a farm, a Black student in their school or college, the Jewish synagogue next door, the Palestinian who escaped to survive, the Asian family running the corner store. The Other arrives, yet in conservative lives they feed their children weapons of destruction. But one day, these children go outside, play with the Other, and understand— they are just like them, another human to protect. They return home, enduring the oppression, forced to sit through conservative lies. Eventually, conservative children become a ticking bomb 💣— attacking not just the Other, but conservatives as well. They blame the Other side, but eventually they turn their weapons on themselves. Meanwhile, we sit watching the news, seeing another ticking bomb explode against one of their own. They don’t believe in karma— but when you feed hate, weapons, and fear, it always bites back.
