tbh, both Egwene and Elayne seem to be into Green early on because they think they'll marry their warders and for nothing much else. Later in the series, it makes more sense.

tbh, my best advice for this is start reading queer fantasy. I've recently read The Dawnhounds by Sascha Stronach and Metal from Heaven by August Clarke, and they were both so completely unlike anything else I've ever read.
