Reader, reader, reader, reader, sometimes writer.
That is the horrible choice for our times.

Still confused about Eponine having teeth not blacked out after reading the book.
Okay, I was 12-13 when I read it as I wanted to read it before I saw the musical the first time.
STILL, as a preteen I understood way more about Les Mis than the people on the hellscape.

Still wouldn’t call myself an expert but I don’t need to be to know the basic facts.

Unlike most people (I own the soundtrack and have seen the show twice) I’ve seen it 7 times professionally and 1 time by a high school where the director thought it was the French Revolution.
I have a not so legal video of the original French production.
I’ve also read the 1500 page book.

Don’t quote Wiki articles at me about generalized themes and then claim to be an expert. High School teacher here. I know when someone is trying to disguise reading Wikipedia as actual research.

Right does not always win. The students lost. Then there’s the Thenardiers. Sure, they’re comic relief but also unrepentant criminals and abusive.

Javert is not behaving in an extrajudicial manner. Valjean DID steal and DID break parole. The point is more about reasons for criminal behaviour and an unforgiving justice system. Still, NOT, extrajudicial.

It is theatre of multitudes. Arguing that a musical based on a 1500 page novel is ONLY about one thing is pure stupidity.

First of all, the majority of the action takes place in 1832, and none of it takes place during the French Revolution.

Biggest clue it’s not the French Revolution: the rebels lost!

This was my workplace. They loved throwing around phrases like “selfcare” while constantly bullying their employees

Poor baby boy!

Ooo, we’ll have to share pictures of what we make!

Plus, this whole thing reeks of MAGA emotional and extrajudicial justice and I like that, unlike the US, we still have functioning laws.

I consistently vote NDP. This is beneath the party and beneath you when you can do so many other things.

Do whatever is actually possible and legal and actionable but this? This is a distraction. The press write about it. Regular Canadians think they’re doing something important. Other politicians will be distracted by it when everyone need to focus.

Into thinking they’re actually doing something meaningful against Musk. People, unlike you, who don’t know how hard, arduous, and rare it is to revoke citizenship.

Stop him from getting govt contracts, (like Starlink in Ontario), do what’s legal to make business hard for him in Canada.

I am very excited. I don’t care if that prematurely makes me a little old lady!

Most accurate take.

She wanted to spend more time with you!

The sad thing is, there are so many Quislings in Canada, they would give Orange Man whatever he wants.

Whoever is controlling him wants our water and other resources, but most of all water.
