Congress has happily ceded numerous of its powers to the executive, so why are we paying it like it has the same job description it used to? We pay so much for less & less from it - just like healthcare.

US youth - have you considered a plan where you can afford to get old? It's not here. Leave.

Hilariously, when I asked my Google home device if there was any email provider that made it easy to manage your subscriptions, it answered, Outlook.

So why isn't #microsoft's ad team touring, "Hey Google recommends Outlook, not Gmail, for convenience of email subscription management"?

Dipshits.

I have a #Google watch.
I have a #Google Pixel phone.
Its me w/ almost 13000 message in my inbox from assholes like DR Power Equipment & myriad other businesses w/ whom I've NEVER interacted.

Yet, #Google gave my #Apple-loyal man an early rollout of Manage Subscriptions.

So FU #GOOGLE.

There was a really bad accident on St Mary and Magazine. It looked like a scene from a movie.

Like if you parked between Union, Ramen and Half Moon good chance your car is fucked up.

Per #CitizensUnited, Corporations, even foreign corporations, can spend unlimited dollars on advertisements that shape the political landscape of the U.S. B/c $ = political speech.

Actual human Visa holders on US campuses can't attend protests now. B/c political speech can get fucked.

How????

I went to a graduation this week, and a very talented graduating senior sang the Star Spangled Banner.

It was the 1st time I heard it as asking a direct, non-rhetorical question. And, I really don't know the answer.
Does it yet wave over a free & brave nation? Who are we now?
Are we free? Brave?

Pete Buttigieg suggested he would “assess” a 2028 presidential run.

While visiting Iowa, he said in a live interview that he'd consider “what I bring to the table.”

He vaulted onto the national stage in 2020 out of South Bend, Indiana. This time, his calculus looks different.

I was just remembering a different GOP that had a problem with John Kerry because, they said, he flip-flopped. And that's evidently really bad, unless it's done at such a rapid pace in every conceivable arena that it gives the entire globe US-policy whiplash, in which case it's rah rah rah?

This is insane.
This cannot stand. The EEOC has no valid legal or factual basis to ask for this type of info from Barnard profs!
“Serena Longley, Barnard’s general counsel, acknowledged in an email to the faculty members that Barnard had provided the [Trump EEOC] with the personal contact information of staff members”
Ah yes, the government asking Jews to register as Jewish, in the name of protecting the Jews. No way that could go wrong www.nytimes.com/2025/04/23/n...

Donald Trump is eroding it in real time – we must fight back to restore the balance of power.

Today, I’m announcing a series of measures against El Salvador for aiding his unconstitutional deportation scheme.

I completely agree with Liz Cheney here.

DNC should stop treating supporters like an ATM and start treating us like allies in the fight against fascism.

She suggests 7 real-life, very workable solutions to the problem.

Her letter is well worth a read.
