Pretty proud of the way my state of Vermont understood the assignment - these people who are trying to take away our rights and dismantle the government should never get a peaceful vacation without protest.

I should be filling the birdfeeders. I should be sewing items to sell. I should be doing a million things. Instead I’m making myself a tunic from boiled wool because I need a dopamine hit.

I just wrote to @balint.house.gov about protecting Medicaid. My entire family relies on Medicaid in some form or another, and my daughter's life depends on the insulin and diabetes supplies that Medicaid covers. We must protect Medicaid.

I don’t know why thread is so vey pretty in winter afternoon light, but it is. And now I have what I need to make grown-up sized things in all three of these fabrics.

Sorry, can’t be sewing today. Too busy identifying three species of sparrow plus a pine siskin at the feeder. (Plus the resident cardinal pair, a bluebird, Carolina wren, goldfinches, tufted titmouse, and dark eyed juncos. Oh, and hoping the hawk comes back for a solid ID.) #middleage #birds
