TabooWood is not as serious as I'm painting it out to be. All these characters, from bad to good, are zany. Their lore is something that adds to them but doesn't rule their character.

I lied... NOW this is it. I don't want to be hung up on the private intricacies of this relationship.
When it comes to stuff like this, I find that making it silly and fruitless is a whole lot more enjoyable to draw.

Laverne is the only decent member of the Mendoza family. Her mother, big sister, and relatives are horrible. She's the black sheep of the family, and is trying to help her nieces break the cycle. To not end up becoming like their mother, Ms. Mendoza.

I'm putting so much effort into developing the Mendoza family. Mainly their personalities, family dynamics, and backstories. The thing is... they're not that important. You'll only see them in a handful of episodes. We are supposed to focus on the teenagers and kids, anyway.

I'm putting so much effort into developing the Mendoza family. Mainly their personalities, family dynamics, and backstories. The thing is... they're not that important. You'll only see them in a handful of episodes. We are supposed to focus on the teenagers and kids, anyway.

I'm thinking Carol sounds like Allison Janney or Carol Burnett in her role as the kangaroo in Horton Hears a Who! (2008). I have another animatic planned for that voice. If I can ever get to it.
But yeah, one of those two. Although, I'm leaning more towards Janney.
