They were never serious about spending money. Dipoto convinced ownership he can maximize profits by building a team that’s just good enough to keep people coming to games and buying merchandise. They are for profit, not playoffs.

I don’t consider myself brilliant, but I also am not dumb. How did it never occur to me that I could dispose of muratic acid this way. Thank you for sharing this.

Can I ask how you go about neutralizing it?

Why can’t we have an uncle Steve or that guy who owns the Phillies for our ownership group. A non cheapskate billionaire, ya know?

Scott Boras lost a few clients in the last 12 months which isn’t typical for Boras Corp. From the articles I’ve read and what I’ve gathered, those that left him felt like he was slow to get deals done and spent too much of his resources on the #1 guys.

We stuffed a prelude H22 into one of these bad boys back in the day. You had to hammer back the firewall to get the intake manifold to clear.

Insane how their entire business is built around the equivalent of making people beg for a claim to be covered.
December 4, 2024 at 7:58 PM
By no means does this justify what happened, but when you deny 1/3rd of all claims as an insurer - almost 50% more than industry average…you’re going to piss some people off
