Thinking about the 1999 album Floraline, a euro disco pop album from Atlanta, Georgia, that sounds like it came from 1993 Sweden. Has a good vibe and is underrated for being such a curiosity.

For the record, I kind of liked C.H.U.D. II: Bud the Chud. It was clearly a silly riff on zombie movies that got Chud Sequel slapped onto it. VERY bad dialogue, but damn it Gerrit Graham's performance as a goofy, sort-of-horny zombie guy deserves to be seen.

Japan's first album Adolescent Sex is a glam funk (proto hairmetal?) rock album. Love it because it rules obviously, but also this is so embarrassing to David Sylvian. Like, you could never fully take a person seriously who made this album.

October Reading List 2025. A prolific month, but not a ton of real literature. Could have squeezed in a few more horror reads, but started to burn out, and getting surprisingly close to reading Robert E. Howard's complete works. Best Halloween read, Tim Curran.

Watched The Long Walk, surprisingly good! Faithful adaptation of a famously unfilmable book. Cooper Hoffman and David Jonsson are excellent. Wasn’t even expecting to watch in one go, but it draws you in.
