One of my favourite Stainless Steel Rat memories is Harry Harrison sending a letter to 2000ad pointing out an error. He got £3 from Tharg for his troubles.

There is an animated series as well. Includes all the books as well as new stories.

Clearly remember picking up my order for this prog as an eight year old. Peak 2000ad and Dredd for me. No sense of delayed gratification, finished it in the car ride before getting home.

Ireland disappears from the price list again. Saturn and the Asteroid Belt are there, not us. Think my local newsagent used to make up the price on a whim.

Wonderful!

Used to live quite close to the Päffgen on Friesenstrasse in the early 2000s. Such a wonderful place. During Covid lockdown, you could actually buy barrels of their Kölsch to bring home. Tried and failed to work out a cunning plan on how to get it to Ireland and then, somehow, get the barrels back.

That looks close to perfect.

Prog 127 is the first I properly remember. Of all the stories that week, ABC Warriors gripped my 6 nearly 7 year old brain the most. Still surprised my parents let me buy it.

This is good to learn. I am on a constant hunt for cask in Dublin.

Thankfully four times the Thrill Power compensated for four times the usual cover price. 45p was a sizeable dent in my 1980's pocket money.
