One of our department legends has been out in SD (Marty Walsh) since he retired, big time instructor & bagpiper.

I’m back Sunday, I’ll get more info at shift change from my counterpart - he responded as the HM BC when our HM was assigned on the 2nd alarm.

I was out of town working the side job yesterday & today.
I grew up going to that mall every single Fri & Sat in the early ‘80s; I grew up 5 min away.
My 1st spot as a new Captain was E71 who was 1st due, worked in that firehouse as a BC as well.
Long days ahead for the brothers
