I got a lot out of this, and a lot to think about. I've been thinking and writing notes a lot lately in prep for a QA about art and why I make it, and your piece popped up in my feed like it was meant for me to find and I'm glad I clicked through and read. Great photos and thoughts.

Had students tell me "Sir, I can't draw like you" and I'd say "good thing we are going to let you find out how to draw like YOU" and we would do gesture studies, contours etc and go from there. love to see the hand of the human in art and imagine its passage through time as the work was created.

Would like an edit button to correct the misspelling of "Arches" paper instead of "archea" but it is what it is.

Love it, I did a similar b&w highway sketch a month or so back, something about road sketches and paintings is appealing
