Last but not least, the symposium will close from 2:15-3:15 pm with "Civil Unrest: Heterocellular Interactions In Cardiac Arrhythmogenesis". Hopefully our chairs Drs. Clancy and Kohl can keep the melee relatively collegial. eppro01.ativ.me/web/index.ph... #HRS25 #EPeeps

3/ Explainability is critical in medical AI. Tools like deliver great performance but also empower clinicians to verify and refine results, building trust in AI systems. A big step toward reducing arrhythmia-related adverse events and supporting sustainable ECG data analysis.

2/ Brought to you by Fleury et al. (senior author: Dr. Maison-Blanche). Game-changer for managing long-term ECG recordings!

🔑 Highlights:
• F1 scores: 99% for arrhythmia detection, 95% for AF, 90% for atrial flutter.
• Modular design enables explainability and manual adjustment of AI outputs.

• 43% of patients readmitted within 30 days.
• Cardiac issues were the primary driver.

To advance the discussion, we propose a framework for more precise and granular descriptions of “Digital Twins” in biomedicine. Clear definitions will help ensure productive and responsible progress in this exciting field.

As we caution in the review, “To ensure this growth proceeds responsibly, we believe caution must be exercised to avoid cavalier use of the digital twin vernacular by biomedical researchers.

Digital Twins in cardiovascular medicine hold incredible promise, but realizing their potential is a long journey. Many foundational elements as articulated by pioneers of this field like Dr. Michael Grieves—like continuous real-virtual data exchange—remain aspirational in computational physiology.

Many interesting findings here, but perhaps the most compelling – in patients who experienced a flutter recurrence following CTI ablation, T2-weighted CMR had a distinctly weaker pattern of hyper enhancement based on visual assessment.
