Sorry, he’s 16, I should have said. 😁I love it when he comes to me to say he’s loving a show but he’s not sure I can handle it. I always try. Drew the line at Attack on Titan, not for me but I respect his fandom and we talk about why he loves it. Which is my point, center their experience, not yrs.

OK …but more importantly are you watching their favorite shows? Asking what lights them up, cracks them up, makes them cry? Some great convos with my son about his life and times after watching Ted Lasso, The Bear, Peacemaker with him.

Great ep! I keep this memento of my wonderful Dad in our kitchen, he was a WWII vet who lost his right arm in the Battle of the Bulge at 18. Its a knife/fork combo (missing a tine) that his uncle made for him upon his return home, so he wouldn't need help cutting up his dinner.

That’s so cool, I’ll be sharing with my Wakefield sophomore if he ever wakes up!

That is truly terrible, but glad to know it exists!

They made a whole TV show about that!

That made me smile and think of my dear dad. Because he used a Zippo and liked a pun.

In 2023, there is not a thing about this that looks glamorous or anything less than unhinged. I can smell it!

I called my own sister afterwards 😩. That performance from both of them transcended the history and really made you feel the relationship.

*gasp* are they doing a wax museum?? Absolutely my favorite elementary school project. My kid was Walt Disney.

This gorgeous girl was called Athena when I got her but I renamed her Lucy which was obviously the first of many mistakes she never forgave me for.

I only got to read my son one before he aged out, but loved it. I feel the same way about The Wild Robot series. We just got the last book and I am going to force a 14 yo boy to listen to me read it over Xmas break if it kills us.😁

I just watched all of B99 with my teenage son. We never skipped the song and frequently did a little dance or posed like the characters when it came on. 🥹

The thing is, if you made them characters in a movie it would have to be a farce. If you tried to write them into a realistic movie, no one would believe that anyone that stupid and venal could ever have been elected!

Oh, I loved that! Characters seeped into my dreams, even.
