This place makes me sad and nostalgic for times gone past. This place must have been really something at the turn of the century. Now it is un-inspiring and sterile. I can see the beauty and power of the environment, especially the sea, but it is so developed.

Cold and windy on the beach in Navarre Florida on the panhandle. Beautiful area. Stayed here a few days and headed south to the Ft Lauderdale arrived last night. Long drive of 11 hours. Was headed to Cherokee N Carolina and the Blue Ridge Mts, but it was too cold. So I decided to explore the Keys
