100%. Parents have all the tools to protect kids on devices and the internet.
Anything the gov does besides education and spreading awareness of the existing tools and resources is indicative of ulterior motives.

Why throw linux under the bus?
Linux/open source is by far community enthusiasts. Sure there are corporate donors and some tentacles from m$ & others, but the anti-user thing is almost entirely bs… behind most angry users are forum posts where they couldn’t be bothered to paste a log command…

I know everyone can’t switch to Linux or some other more free OS, but you can use open-source alternatives!
LibreOffice is a great alt to M$ Office that has the same basic features and can export files in M$ Office formats

I know times are tight and sometimes amazon seems the only affordable choice…. I have used them a time or two myself when there seemed no alternative. No one can be perfect, that isn’t the point, it’s just always worth a try to find alternatives!
