Finally played Hollow Knight after having it on my "I'll play it someday" game list. Ended up really enjoying it. Got 112% tonight. Just need to beat Pantheon 5 before I put it on the shelf. Will probably play Silksong towards the end of this year.

Haven't had too many projects going since moving, but I just fixed and cleaned a kiwi GameBoy Color(had no sound). Also fixed a silver GameCube (broken laser). Going to be getting a lot more consoles towards the end of the year, so no projects for a bit.

Small project, but got an Xbox One S recently for super cheap. Everything works, just needed cleaning. Popped the lid off and went at it for a couple of minutes and now it's good as new. Starting to work on a GameCube that isn't reading discs now.

Been a bit since I posted console work, but we've moved! I just finished fixing and reshelling this 3DS for Hadley. Charging port was busted, so replaced that. Everything works great now!

Didn't take any before pictures but I got an N64 over the weekend and cleaned it. It was quite dusty and had a spider living in it. Fully functional, so going up on the display shelves... Except I'm out of room now

Wasn't cheap but I found a replacement front board for my dad's original Gameboy DMG. Other screen has lines that I wasn't able to fix. Looking great now. Last repair/restoration for a bit while figuring out moving stuff.

Wasn't too difficult but I recapped(replaced all capacitors) in my Game Gear. Screen doesn't look great, but looks way better than before. Audio is working now too. Going to replace it with a modern LCD mod eventually because these old screens just crap out.

Took a few days but finally finished straightening out the tubes for my Power Glove sensor. Had to desolder some connections and then use a heat gun to work out the kinks, but turned out great. Need to figure out how to display this, but now my Power Glove is good to go!

Bought a Blue Wii with a broken disc drive and took it apart this week. Turns out there was just a Lego piece stuck inside. Needed a bit of a cleaning too, but it's all clean now and fully functional. I love this color, a shame it's not the one with GameCube support.

Cleaned up my WiiU a bit and removed some scuffs from the shell. I took it apart and washed the plastic and cleaned the insides. My cat peed on it after we moved nearly 2 years ago And even though I had cleaned it, it still had a bit of a smell to it. All good now.

These are all fully working and super clean. They ranged from just being dirty, to needing new parts, to needing me to do soldering work. Really happy with what I've accomplished. Got more in the works, will post those as they get completed.

Over the last half year or so I've gotten really into console restoration/repair. Been learning lots of new skills and having a lot of fun with it. Going to start using my Bluesky to catalog some of my progress. Here's a few that I've done.

It's fucking over... I beat jokerless after 3 weeks of attempts and two soul crushing runs that died to horrible luck on the ante 8 boss. I can finally go back to enjoying this game

A fox sitting on a closed toilet is obscene but a balloon dog taking a shit is clean and appropriate for Twitch

First time playing through Celeste was a blast! Still need to go back and find collectibles so that I can get to chapter 8. Should be streaming that next weekend if I'm able to get everything done this week. I can see why people really enjoy this game.
