Agree, considering the uncertainty there was and divergence in the models I thought the met office had the right overall forecast with a couple of days notice, albeit with warnings the detail might be wrong. Red warning with few hrs notice was also reasonable if they didn't have certainty.

So this is quite an easy to digest means of showing the expected impact of weather tomorrow. Yet try and get the same view in the new "improved" met office app and you'd be frustrated. Even getting a clear view of the severe weather map is difficult. And yes, I have already fed this back in the app.

Doubtful for early Jan and even then it would probably be just one set. They are being introduced between Jan and Dec 2026, enough need to be in service by end March 2026 to replace the existing silver trains. Until then they're being used for driver training and maintenance works.

Would be interesting to see this as a proportion or percentage reduction in daylight hours. Although the north of Scotland is loosing more daylight in actual terms, is it the same in relative terms cos they have more daylight in summer?

Despite the fact that auto-dub could assist some users who have a visual disability and who don't do English good enough to follow the audio, I suspect they would have other tools to hand. Having discovered auto-dub being pushed to me on a French video recently I would turn it off.

UKPN have no responsibility to deliver electrical power to Heathrow. The fire is at a National Grid substation and is a handover point to the local DNO which is SSEN.

The M25 is a long way removed from being the boundary of London. There are significant areas within the M25 that are outside the London boundary.
