This book ends on a cliffhanger. eagerly awaiting a follow up.Set in the Lowcountry of South Carolina family and historical drama pulled me in, I didn’t want the story to end.Conservation is clearly something Monroe values and vivid story telling put me in the landscape and setting.

Beautiful Toni Morrison. Stringing words like musical notes. A book that requires your full attention but leaves you a more fulfilled person and will stay with after you finish. Touches on belonging, race and gender.

The story follows a millennial couple living the perfect instagram life. It turns out to be empty and meaningless. Perfection, although coveted, isn’t what it is cracked up to be. Well worth a read.

Written by a woman about women. All ages, backgrounds and sexualities. Each character adds their own uniqueness. I enjoyed this book so much. I didn’t like all of the characters, but they were all important in bringing the stories together.

Never Let Me Go - Kazuo Ishiguro

Another great read , although a disturbing and bizarre story that it took some time to leave behind after I finished it. It leaves you bruised. Best to read without any knowledge of the plot. Dive in and you’ll likely not be able to put it down.

A woman imprisoned, raped by her captor trying to raise her son as normally as she can in captivity. The story is told through the eyes of the child and a page turner. Highly recommended.
